Nothing denotes the change in season better than pulling out your recipe box and thumbing through all the yummy things that you get to make when the weather changes! Here are our picks for some classics that your whole family is sure to love!

Our Favorite Fall Recipes:

Pumpkin Gingerbread

This Pumpkin Gingerbread recipe is full of everything you love about fall! The moist cake has hints of cinnamon and clove and is a great gift to bring to an event or could even be a tasty treat for breakfast! We recommend making two- it freezes well also!

Beef Stew

Nothing says comfort food like a hearty beef stew. A touch of red wine gives this stew a deep flavor and is filled with delicious vegetables and soft chunks of meat. If you have a larger family, you can double this recipe very easily and even store some for left overs! Make sure to buy a crusty loaf of bread to go with this- you’re going to want to mop up that gravy.

Chipotle Roasted Root Vegetables

If you are not big meat eaters, this dish can fill you up all by itself or can serve as a wonderful side! You can turn up/down the heat by how much chipotle peppers you add and the honey balances out the heat. You can add or subtract any vegetables that you’d like to customize this dish for your family!

Butternut Squash Soup

This simple recipe will have your guests thinking you spent ALL day making it! The fresh and clean taste of squash with some sautéed garlic and shallots make this decadent soup even tastier. If you like a deeper flavor, you can use chicken broth instead of vegetable broth and even swap out one of the cups of broth with heavy cream to give it added richness! Freeze the leftovers for another cold day!

Fig, Prosciutto, and Goat Cheese Flatbread

A fun meal to make for a date night in together or could serve as an appetizer for guests, this flatbread has all of the flavors you will love and pairs wonderfully with a glass of white wine. Figs are in season throughout the fall and winter and sometimes you can even be lucky enough to find them at your local farmers market! Add some spicy arugula to this flatbread for the perfect combination for your taste buds.

Grandma’s Chili

The great thing about chili is that anything goes! You can tweak this recipe to suit your tastes by adding spices or peppers for heat. Full of meat and beans, this chili recipe will please the whole family. Top it with fun things like scallions, cheese, sour cream, and a lime wedge! It just might win that cookoff you have at the office every year, too!

Pumpkintini

This is a great cocktail to serve at a party or even for Thanksgiving! The best thing about it is that it can be made with vodka or rum! Play around with the liqueurs also to get the flavors you love best! Vanilla, maple syrup, pumpkin, whipped cream… they make liquors in all flavors! My favorite is Cruzan Rum Cream for fall inspired drinks. Follow the basic recipe but add what you like best. Don’t forget the fun graham cracker rim! Cheers!
