I can easily say that the best part of my job is all of the different families that I get to work with. This sweet fam is a rare breed – they are true “locals” to the Alexandria/DC area, not transplants. They were married in Old Town Alexandria, so it was an extra special treat to be able to capture some of their first family photographs in a town that has meant so much to them. I was so impressed by all they knew about the area – “Did you know that this is called Captain’s Row? That is where all of the different ship captains used to live.” “This part of the city used to be underwater”. Honestly, when we were overseas, my first stop in a new city was signing up for the Hop on Hop off tours so I could learn a little more about where we were visiting. It was so fun to hear more about the town that we’ve been living in for the last few years – and such a treat to work with such a fun and thoughtful family.
